A Brief History
Cody pursued a career in illustration art while studying Industrial Design at the University of Houston. Blending his love of running and art, his objective was to become a running footwear designer.
After graduating, Cody lived and worked as an Event Coordinator for a local art gallery in Portland, OR where he completed various internships with brands such as Adidas, Levi’s and OROX Leather Goods.
He was then hired as Head of Design for a footwear start-up in Austin, TX. During his time there, Cody learned the value in sourcing, manufacturing and costing working with factories in Mexico and Brazil.
Cody advanced his career as an independent design consultant working with Altra Running, Cavana Footwear and Atreyu Running advancing his overall process and considerations.
His efforts caught the attention of Exxel Outdoors where Cody designed camping and running equipment across several internal brands. After three years, he then was hired as Senior Product Developer for Magpul Industries and Remote Equipment in Colorado where he currently resides today.
Demonstrating his creative talents, Cody continues working with both start-ups and corporate brands alike, developing compelling products and services with an emphasis on the arts, athletics and the greater outdoors.
